How do you sterilize boxing gloves?
After you wipe out as much moisture as you can from inside the gloves, sanitize and disinfect them with a half-and-half vinegar and water solution. Transfer the solution to a spray bottle and give the inside of the gloves several spritzes. You can use white vinegar or apple cider vinegar to clean your gloves.
Can I use disinfecting wipes on boxing gloves?
Using Disinfectant Wipes You may also use some kind of disinfectant wipe to scrub the inside and the outside of your gloves. But the wipes won’t remove the sweat entirely. But the wipes can pry the germs away from the internal and external layers of the gloves.
Can boxing gloves be washed?
You shouldn’t wash boxing gloves or other boxing equipment as the water or cleaning agents will soak into the casings and foams. This can dramatically speed up their wear and tear, it’s best to keep your boxing gloves away from any heavy wash/washing machine to ensure their longevity.

Use apple cider vinegar. It’s a super easy and effective method to freshen your gloves in a pinch. Pour about one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar into your hand or onto a clean towel. Rub it inside your gloves thoroughly. Next, allow your boxing gloves to dry overnight in a well-ventilated area.
Can you use Febreeze on boxing gloves?
Don’t use regular Febreze on your gloves or wraps. Febreze Sports Fabric formula can be used in between cleanings but it doesn’t replace actually cleaning your equipment. Do not use harsh cleaning products on your boxing gloves. This will prevent them from drying out and spread the sweat and odor in the glove.

You can easily clean your hand wraps! Washing your hand wraps is an important step in cleaning your boxing gloves. To do this, simply throw the wraps in a laundry bag, wash them in your washing machine, and let them air dry.
How often should you wash handwraps?
It’s best practice to wash your wraps after every use. If you don’t, at least wash them fully every 3 – 5 uses, and in between washes, consider rinsing or disinfecting them as added protection against bacteria growth.

The short answer: no. You shouldn’t put your boxing gloves in the dryer. Make sure if you air dry your gloves that you don’t need to be using them for many hours on end, because nothing is worse than having to box with wet gloves.
